Even though it's not as good as the comic it's based on, I still find myself watching The Walking Dead.
Like most shows on TV today, I usually don't watch the show "live". What I do, if I don't just outright download a show, is set the DVR on my cable box to record the show. Then I watch something else on the DVR or on OnDemand. Then once about 20-25 minutes of the show have aired live, if I'm not in the middle of something else, I start watching it on the DVR. This lets me skip past all of the commercial and the show takes around 44 minutes instead of 60. (The exception to this is RAW, which is live. But even that, I haven't been watching much of late.)
But since I was bored and couldn't find anything else to do, I watched the season premiere live. As good as the episode was, all of the constant commercial breaks made me want to change the channel and not come back. They really disrupt the flow of the show.
Let's take a break from complaining about commercials to look at "Maggie", Lauren Cohan...
I liked that this season opened up with an action-heavy episode. Of course, now I worry that we'll get six episodes of standing around and talking before that seventh remaining episode that is the mid-season finale sets up a cliffhanger to get us to come back in February.
Like a lot of people, I thought the guy towards the end of the episode in the flashback scene was Negan. It turned out to be the crazy guy with the tattoos on his face. I guess that's what happens when you have a scene that takes place in the dark and can't see the details of the face.
I doubt I'll be blogging about every episode or anything like that. I just felt like writing and this was what was on my mind at the moment.
